Knights of Columbus 2014

This weekend I am competing the the Knights of Columbus Invitational. Knights of Columbus is the only International Invitational Indoor track and field meet in Canada. The Knights bring in 35-40 of the top international track and field athletes who reside in North America to compete in the invitation section of the meet. I will be running the 60mH and 60m dash on Saturday, February. 1st starting at 1230pm. I am getting excited to race some of the top girls in North America in my events.

The goal of the Knights is to host a meet that provides the youth of Saskatchewan with positive role models by having the elementary schools students compete in the same meet as the “international stars.” As a local athlete the director of the meet has asked me to visit Pleasant Hill and Confederation school with Mickey Grimes (USA sprinter) to talk about the value of setting goals and overcoming hurdles in life.

Tomorrow (Thursday, January. 30th) I will also be featured on the CTV news at Noon with Mickey Grimes. Be sure to tune in! Will update on how the weekend goes!

  1. Hi Sweetie, Enjoyed your interview on CTV at noon today. You looked really cool and did not even look nervous. Way better then how I could handle TV interviews. Good luck this weekend and look forward to your comments about your talks with the students at the two schools you will be meeting with. I am very proud of your progress and again all the best this weekend and future events. Grandpa Terry
